Description

Here's something I've been wanting to do for quite a while now; been wondering if this was going to remain a hollow promise. But that's the thing. I never leave unfinished business... unfinished. Ugh, that was such a FAIL, anyway.

So a friend of mine has this particular character who's gone through... I dunno how many changes now. Maybe people who keep up with her know but it seems countless to me by now yet I was fortunate enough to finally see her stick with a current look. At least I hope this is current...

Based on this however I already remember some time ago that her and I deliberated that I had permission to implement her into this graphic novel that's been in vast development hell since conception and needs some serious digging to bring it back to speed. This is sort of a scene straight out from it, at least a part that rings in my mind to a certain point in the story.

None of this canon to her, as far as I know, I just wanted to use her particular character within my own universe as a sort of super imposed cameo.

I imagine that some time in Juju's timeline, Nessia and him were friends... using a flashback, it'd go something like this:

"Hey Juju... wha'happen to dat girl you used to hang out wiff?" Motoya asked, his Portuguese accent taking its toll.

"What girl?" Juju asked.

"Come on, Juju! I know you remembuh." Motoya scolded.

"No... ... wait..." Juju paused, taking this moment to himself to think critically of events nearly well over a decade ago.

"'Ere, I hepp you! Husky... red fur?" Motoya clued in.

"You sure she was a husky? I thought she was a wolf..." Juju mentioned.

"Husky! Wolf! FOHK! Me thinks all these canines look alike, chico!" Motoya exlaimed with bitter annoyance.

"Motoya, wowww! Calm down, yeah... yeah I remember her now though." Juju mentioned.

"Wha'happen to her then? How come I no see her around anymore? Why no talk to her?" Motoya asked in multiplicities.

"I... ... that's a good question." Juju commented.

"You mean you forgot about her?" Motoya asked.

"To be honest, yeah.... yeah, actually I did. Why do you remember her?" Juju asked.

"Ahhh Juju I cannot BELIEVE you no remembuh! You and her were GOOD friends back in the day! You no remembuh?!" Motoya exlaimed excitedly.

"No? Why? What does it matter that I don't remember?" Juju questioned cautiously.

"She was like... THE ONLY girl who would talk to you and hang out wiff us, mang." Motoya noted.

"She was?"

"Hex ya! She was a cool little chica, mang. She must be... what... 22? 24 now, maybe?" Motoya incited.

"I don't remember if she was younger than me, or not." Juju mentioned.

"Twenty-two." A deep, Russian voiced accent spouted out of nowhere, its presence being known as soon as a puff of cigar smoke entered their scene.

"Damnit! Of course you'd know, Gustov! You always know everything!" Juju exclaimed, already turned to him as Gustov walked in on the two puffing his cigar and holding one hand into his suit in Napoleonic fashion.

"I make it my business to know everything, tovarich." Gustov added, grinning and puffing through his beak again.

"Well Gustov must be right. She's probably 22 by now." Juju said.

"She must be byootiful now... me remembuhz her looking the cutest husky--"

"Wolf." Juju intercepted.

"LOOK WHUTEVA MANG!" Motoya screamed, Gustov blustering into laughter from Motoya's explosive distemper.

"I am surprised you no remembuh her, Juju." Motoya said disappointingly.

"I don't see why you care so much." Juju added.

"Well. I won't have you look into it anymore than you should. Not that I am inseesting. But..."

"He means you could have been in relationship much earlier on in life, tovarich." Gustov appointed bluntly.

"SUBTLE?! YOU KNOW?!" Motoya exlaimed again.

"What? What do you mean?" Juju questioned with confusion, ignoring Motoya's expected outburst.

"Is like any story, da? Boy meets girl... girl hangs around boy. Boy never makes up mind... 15 years later, he doesn't have her in mind." Gustov connected.

"What! That... no. Jesus, no, Gustov that's crazy." Juju fired back.

"It could have been." Gustov added.

"But it's not. And it's not worth bringing up to try and make me wonder either." Juju noted back.

"Oh really?" Gustov curred in his thick Russian accent as he pulled his hand out from his jacket, revealing a photo of a much younger, cat-earless Juju, and the young girl the two of them vividly remember Juju spending time with many years ago.

Juju looked down at the penguin presenting the photo to him, Juju already having caught a glimpse of his younger self. He stood there for a moment, in a surprised state of shock as his hands involuntarily moved to his ears, gripping at them, remembering a time long ago. A time most relevant, when things were simpler, more innocent and genuine. He released his hands from his ears and reached for the photo; as soon as he grasped it, he was brought back to the exact time this photo was taken.

==Sierrace, June 1995

"You look really great out there, training with the guys, Juju." The red-furred Canidaethrop mentioned, smiling happily at Juju as she sat next to him.

"Yeah I guess so... I hate it when I have to spar with Kinazi though. He gets real rough on everyone." Juju mentioned.

"I notice that... but I'd be more afraid of sparring with Motoya. That tongue! Ewwww!" The girl opinionated strongly.

"Ah Motoya's not so bad! He's a fun to spar with. He likes to dance more than fight anyway." Juju added.

"I like it when you guys stop practicing and do that." She opted her joy in again.

"You mean dancing?" Juju specified.

The girl nodded her head enthusiastically, smiling back at Juju and rubbed her hands over her knees.

"Ah we sort of think that's part of the practice. It is alot of fun though."

Another voice called out, both of the young ones looking off to the voice shouted in their direction, "Juju! We're all heading out to eat! You coming?!"

Juju noticed the voice coming from Requiem; a strong bred Hong Kong trainee to the dojo who was already joined up with the rest of the rowdy group of guys who chanted and whooped over one another, eager to get some food. Juju wanted to answer back to him but was then caught back with the girl sitting next to him and looked upon her once more, "Nessy. You wanna come with us?"

Back near the group of guys, a much younger, however consistently suave Gustov approached with a rather large camera, wandered into the dojo.

"Gustov? What're you doing here." Requiem asked innocently.

"Ah! Requiem... maybe you can help me." Gustov initiated.

"I'll do my best... what is it?" Requiem asked.

"This... CAMERA, I do not understand it." Gustov admitted horridly.

"What? What do you mean?" Requiem asked, taking the camera from Gustov as it was handed to him.

"It is nothing like I know from KGB protocol equipment and has a strange name." Gustov continued.

"Yeah, Cold War's over Gustov... eh... alot's changed... but you mean this being a Polaroid?" Requiem asked.

"Yes! What does that mean?!" Gustov jeered.

Requiem couldn't help but laugh aloud from Gustov's dumbfounded admittance to the camera now in his hands and handed it back to Gustov.

"You're over analyzing it. Here, take it back, it's just another camera, Gustov." Requiem said, handing the camera back to Gustov who returned it into his hands.

"I see... well then in that case I shall carry on." Gustov said, seeking to recover from his impartial awkwardness.

He then noticed Juju with the young red-furred Canidaethrop and studied the two of them closely, "Who is the girl with Juju?"

Requiem looked back over at Juju and frowned slightly seeing he still hadn't answered him back to know if he wanted to go eat with them or not, "Some girl... she comes by here all the time and talks to Juju. I'd say she's a bad habit cutting into his training but... sensei allows it so I dunno."

"Interesting..." Gustov noted.

"Gustov, can you do me a favor and walk over there and get Juju? We're all seriously hungry over here."

"MY STOMACH! EET STEENGS WITH THE PAINS OF HUNGAR, MANG!" Motoya exclaimed hysterically, feigning a faint as he knew someone of the group would catch him and his jaw dropped, his anaconda-like tongue dangling out in his impromptu death pose.

"No problem. In fact, I will go and test this camera on those two." Gustov mentioned as he headed towards the mingling couple.

"You think they'd let me go with you?" Nessia asked shyly.

"Sure! I don't see why not..." Juju said.

Nessia smiled back at him again and tucked her hands down inbetween her legs coyly, "I'd really like that." Juju just smiling back at her as the two of them just stared back at one another.

"SAY CHEESE!" Gustov roared as the camera flashed in an explosive, reproduced light.

"We never got this REEBS, mang!" Motoya roared, recalling his own memory after glancing at the photo.

Juju held the photo silently in his hands, staring down at it, now feeling somewhat unfulfilled of a part of his past he seemed to lose base with fool-heartedly. Juju brought his eyes up, breaking his thought and wiggled the photo a bit in his hands, patting it against one of his palms and looked down at Gustov afterwards.

"Gustov... you mind if I keep this?" Juju asked complacently.

"Sure... it's all yours." Gustov replied.

Without a word Juju headed off leaving the two of them behind, Motoya cutting in before Juju disappeared, "W-wait! Juju where you going?!"

"To meet his destiny." Gustov added in, puffing cigar smoke out as Motoya stared down at him unamused.

"Reebs?!" Motoya jeered.

"By the motherland-- is that all you can think of?"
