Before and After

During my lifetime which I still live whole heartedly, I was cursed with the dreaded "Late Bloomer" syndrome. Surely I grew in height, varingly but at a time of age eleven, I stopped growing. I grew a few hairs under the nose, nothing special, in fact, nothing noticeable unless someone would actually approach me. I had dreaded bangs to hide my face and I was just too lazy to get a haircut... that and alot of chicks dug the doo ()-_-)* . It wasn't until at around age fourteen, I cut the massive doo on my head and unveiled a 'boy' and not a child. A year later, my growth spurt almost instantaneously kicked in. From the minor four foot eleven I once was, in a matter of three years I grew 100% taller, I am now 5' 11'', and questioned at a height of 6' 0''. I began to grow bulkier, toned, sleeker, aerodynamical if some must... surely my martial arts training paid off and my questions to God "Why do you treat me so small?" Were answered... he was testing me that I may endure the harshness-- yet face the reality of where some people still are... at the bottom of people's feet. I've come to realize this and now I smile, knowing I treat all people at the same height as me, at the same status of me, nothing less, nothing more. I thank those who helped me through the tasks of maturity. My friends, my family, those who accepted me, those who denied me, those I even avoided... but most especially, my girlfriend, who watched me transform from a boy, a teenager...

And into a man ready to take the world...
